When we got in this morning a few more of the lines had disappeared leaving just James and one main line connected along with a couple of monitoring leads for heart rate and the like.

 

It was great to see.

 

At lunchtime we where moved back up to the ward. It was unreal to see the nurse from 7 West come down to collect James. For the first time in a few weeks we both felt a sense of relief.

 

Being back on the ward is a massive step on the road home. There is still a way to go before we get home, but it was a really good day today.
