No Tubes
I was a little surprised this morning when I got in, James had no Nasal Gastric tube (feed tube) sticking out his nose.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Apparently after his feed overnight he decided to rip it out, just to let the staff see how cute he really is without all the attachments. Apparently it worked, the night shift nurse did make a comment on what a cute little guy he is and was a little disappointed he slept right through as she didn't get to hold him at all.
given how well he was sleeping this morning, the Nurses decided to try him without the same drug that caused the problems on Saturday. This time he was ready and we had a pretty good day with Mum getting lots of smiles. Now to get the night time dose down and then gone.
We spoke with the Charge Nurse this afternoon about going home, she is going to mention it on the rounds in the morning to see what the Surgeons and Doctors think. Hopefully they are as keen as we are.
